Bold, intense, full bodied and delicious
Sulawesi is a small Indonesian island that grows amazing arabica coffees.
Like so many of the exotic lots we offer for sale, Sulawesi is also a rare and difficult origin to source.
It's been 6 years since we had a Sulawesi coffee and this lot is just the best.
We have barely 1 ton available and it will go fast.
Sulawesi coffees are absolutely delicious - intense, dark and brooding cups with punchy sweetness and a rich, lush and rewarding finish.
Get your mind around these taste notes.
Yep, it's got the lot and then more.
What's even better is the full, rounded body, dark fruits and candy sweetness.

How we roast your coffee
20 years of 6hrs a day, every week day for 51 weeks a year. That's a lot of batches, upwards of 100,000 and a level of experience unmatched in the Australian coffee market.
The same person who roasted that very first batch is exactly the same person that roasts every single batch today. Another feature rarely matched for brands our size.
Roasting coffee is not about freaky talent or secrets passed down through generations. It's only ever about practice, practice and more practice just like a golfer or tennis champ, there are no shortcuts or innovative tools and systems to help jump ahead of the competition.
This is how we produce the best tasting and most consistent coffee in Australia. Superior quality ingredients, expert level experience, the most advanced infrastructure and maturity of processes.
There are many different factors at play when roasting and we target sweetness, acidity, flavor, body and finish to generate the best balance across all those competing elements.
Our espresso style is a medium roast suitable for premium cafes that care about quality. Filter style roasts are lighter to meet the demands of modern alternative brewing methods to retain fruit-forward complexity.
What is most important?
Answer is they all are. It didn't take a pandemic to learn why speed, freshness, quality and value are all equally important.
Heck no. We worked that out way back in 2007 as the original pioneer of online premium quality fresh roasted coffees to Australian coffee lovers.
We get it, running out of coffee is a nightmare scenario nobody wishes to experience.
With 16 years and almost 1 million successful parcel deliveries under our belts, we know a thing or two about what it takes to run a high performance and high speed coffee supply operation.
To ensure our coffees are crazy fresh, barely hours old when they ship out the door, it requires significant scale and resources working rapidly to roast, pack, label, grind, parcel and ship.
It's an eco-system we have continued to build and optimize for 16 years, measuring our performance in minutes, not hours and certainly not days like some of our competitors.
Nobody can guarantee or predict delivery timeframes, but we can assure you of our commitment to ship fresh roasted coffees that have been prepared to precise quality standards at a competitive price and always processed with a critical sense of urgency.
OK, so you can read many gushing reviews about a coffee and wonder, is it just the person or is it the coffee. Had to give this a try as curiousity kills the cat so they say. Genuinely delicious is the result.
As Gomer Pyle would often say, this one was a good surprise.
All my life I have dreamed of a coffee that tastes like this. Now I find it 40 years later.
This is heavenly in taste
Now tried many coffees from Carlini and I think this has been the best so far. Thanks
